Connect. Support. Share. Strengthen.

Across the Inland Empire, African American Parent Advisory Councils (AAPACs) are working within schools and districts to strengthen family engagement, elevate parent voice and support Black student success. Too often, however, AAPAC leaders are doing this work without regular opportunities to connect with one another across district and county lines.

We want to change that.

The Inland Empire Regional AAPAC Network is a growing effort to connect parent AAPAC leaders, school-site AAPAC leaders, district AAPAC leaders and the educators and staff who support them throughout San Bernardino and Riverside counties.

• Build relationships across San Bernardino and Riverside counties
• Strengthen the collective capacity of Black parents and the educators who partner with them

• Support emerging AAPACs and communities working to strengthen their councils

• Identify common needs and opportunities for collaboration

Participating AAPAC leaders will be invited to:

• Connect quarterly with AAPAC leaders from across the Inland Empire

• Share successful programs, practices, resources and ideas

• Learn from the experiences of other school-site and district AAPACs

What We're Building

Our goal is to create a regional space where AAPACs can connect, share what is working, exchange resources, support one another and strengthen Black parent engagement across the Inland Empire.

Help Lead the Effort

This is not about replacing or directing the work of individual AAPACs. Each council knows its own students, families, schools and district best. The regional network is intended to create another layer of connection and support so that local leaders don’t have to do this work alone.

Because this is a developing regional effort, we are also looking for AAPAC leaders who are interested in helping shape and lead the network.
