OUR COMMITMENT
Empowering Black Families Through Shared Knowledge
The Black Parent Summit is a warm and welcoming community hub serving families in San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Our mission is to build a stronger future by fostering connections, promoting shared knowledge, empowering Black families, and ensuring every parent has the tools and community support needed to help their children thrive and succeed.

Who We Are
Our History

Since its launch in 2019, the Black Parent Summit has brought together Black parents, students, educators, educational leaders and community partners to strengthen parent voice, promote student success and address the educational and social-emotional experiences of Black students throughout the Inland Empire.
Following a pause during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Summit returned with an expanded regional focus, building connections among families, school districts, county education offices, colleges and universities, mental health professionals and community organizations across San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
Today, the Summit continues to grow as a regional space for Black families to connect, learn, advocate and help shape stronger educational experiences for Black students.
The Community Driving the Summit

Education Offices
Partnering with San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools and Riverside County Offices of Education to bridge the gap between policy and parent advocacy.
